Too Busy for Reiki?!

I have a million things to do, and five thousand of them have deadlines. I feel as if I am surrounded by snapping alligators.

No, I lie. I actually have two million things to do and they are all snapping for my attention. And that is always when someone asks me for Reiki. Not to 'send' them Reiki, but to take time, slow down and give an actual hands-on Reiki treatment.

I don't believe in coincidences. Nope. I have learned through experience that it is times like these when Reiki is precisely what I should be doing. And perhaps, if I had been practicing Reiki daily, I wouldn't have two million things vying for my attention?

When I am practicing Reiki daily - hands-on Reiki, on myself, or another - my life works so much better. And, as strange as it seems, I get so much more 'done'. Why is that?

Let's see...

When you give Reiki, you get Reiki.
Reiki works on many levels - Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, Physical.

Takata admonished us to use Reiki first on ourselves, then on our family and others after that.
So, when I am giving myself Reiki every day, I am healing myself on many levels, including my physical self and my life situations.

More reasons to remember to Reiki! Reiki Reiki!

Reiki! Reiki! Reiki!

My "Battle Cry"!

My WOW - Words of Wisdom.

My fall-back position.

It is what I tell my Students when they get all wrapped around the axle, trying to figure out 'how' Reiki works or 'how' to use Reiki in a particular situation, or 'when' to share Reiki.

Yes, the 'Cursed Hows' pop up in Reiki all the time.

Whenever that happens, I tell them to just Reiki! Reiki! Reiki!

My newer Students get that look on their face that suggests I'm not quite understanding the enormity of the situation, the magnitude of the crisis, the wasting of time that is occurring...

So I smile, take their hand and suggest they take a deep breathe, close their eyes and Reiki!

In our culture, we are trained to be Do-ers. My Students want to know "What to DO if/when/to yada yada yada" They rarely appreciate my taking their crisis lightly. They want Specifics. Specific directions, specific explanations, specific steps to take to get to the desired outcome.

Well, in my experience, Reiki doesn't operate that way.

Reiki isn't something one 'does'.

To truly experience the profound benefits, the beauty and outright yumminess of Reiki, one must "Be" Reiki.

And that is guaranteed to frustrate most of my Reiki I Students. "How can I BE Reiki if I don't even know what/how/when/augh!"

Step back from 'The Problem'. Identify the seed or nucleus of the issue or situation if you must, and then just Reiki...

Hold it gently in your hands, as you would a butterfly or a baby bird. Let your Reiki flow. Step away from the outcome. Just Reiki. Be Reiki. Just Be.

Ahhh! Nice... Sweet!
